How to play
- Look at the three photos. They show one real home: from outside, where the family cooks, and where they sleep. Tap a photo to make it bigger.
- Slide along the street to the house where you think this home stands.
- Tap "See where it is".
One home a day, the same for everyone. A new one arrives at midnight.
The street
The street has 100 houses, sorted by income. The number is what each adult in the home can spend or use in a month, in US dollars adjusted for local prices. It is not a salary. Every step along the street multiplies it by the same amount, from about at house 1 to about at house 100.
Where the photos come from
Every home was visited by Dollar Street, a Gapminder project, and the families agreed to be photographed. Free material from GAPMINDER.ORG, CC-BY LICENSE. The photographer is named under each answer. Dollar Street does not endorse this site.
