How to play
You are one team: the whole table against the phone. It sets a journey of ten stops round the world, one country per stop.
The phone goes round. Whoever holds it gets the stop's question: two countries, pick the one that fits. Answer alone; the others keep quiet.
Right: the table moves on to the next stop. Wrong: the table loses one of its three lives, and the next player tries again at the same stop, with a new question.
Twice a journey, the one holding the phone may ask the table: then everyone may talk about that question.
Reach the tenth stop and you beat the phone. Lose the third life and the journey ends where you are. The questions get harder along the way: big differences at the first stops, close calls at the last.
Where the facts come from
Every answer comes from the World Bank's open data (World Development Indicators, under the CC BY 4.0 licence) or from the lists of One of 193, which were each checked on two websites; a country counts with its own land only, without overseas territories. Each figure is a country's latest one, at most six years old; its year is shown with it. After every answer the phone shows the real figures and the source, and "Every question" lists them all. The World Bank does not endorse this site.
